What do I want it, to be about?
So I have thought about what I wanted this blog to be about. Should it be about my horse Miss G? Should it be a fashion equestrian blog? Should I tell about training methods? Yeah like I don't know...
But then I thought about it for a while. Well one thing I really want to talk about is the life with my horse G and of course the life I have with her and my boyfriend M. But that can be kind of broad way. So I knew I had to narrow it down.
Well I really want to honest. I really like to write about my training of Miss G. Miss G is a 20 year old fjordhorse (who's the most beautiful fjordhorse ever, if you ask me). She turns 21 in May. You would think that an 20 year old horse would have experience alot, but I don't think she really has. I would like to tell you the story about her at later time, but for now I'll talk about her training level, because it really isn't that much. She is very much like a green horse. Just like her mind. In her mind she's a young horse. But I thank god that she hasn't found out how old she actually is.
When people look at her, she actually doesn't look that old too. She a grey foxlady, if you ask me! I've had severel people tell they didn't think she was as old as she is. So defitely a win for me and her! But like I said she's very much like a green horse. Her training level is very low. But we just take one day at a time. I don't want to rush her! For almost a year all I have done is to make her feel relaxed! Especially went I shortend my reins. Then she would always stress and shorten her steps, which really wasen't great! Another thing I have worked on, is to get her, to use her body much better and make her steps longer and under herself! when I got her, her steps were very short!
So next on the list is to get her soft and suttle. I always thought that I should first try to get her on the bit, but I know now, that I have to look at a different direction. I have seen loads of videos of trying to get a horse on the bit, but it has ever really worked. Until a saw a video on youtube, which made so much sense! Because for a horse to go to on the bit, the horse has to be soft and easy to bend. Well... if your horse can't really bend and "circles" are much more like squares, then going on the bit because it's "soft" is not really happening. So now I try something new with miss G in her training and I would say those few times I have tried it, it worked!
But one thing I really would like to talk about is telling storytimes, cause boy do I have some stories to tell! Some good, but other not really that great. I feel like it is importent to tell the truth about certain people/things in this world! I understand much better why so many people have so many questions and there's so much jugdement about us horse people! I really want to tell my stories and experience with people in this world. I think this world of ours are very hard to understand and you know what? I fully understand why! We are some of the weirdest people in the world maybe?
Anyway this was just a little about what I would like blog to be about. I can't say is only gonna be about training with my horse or storytimes. Maybe you'll get to see other sides of me, you maybe didn't knew? Well that was about it for now. See you later
Love Maggie ❤
